The Modern Art Gallery lies in the historic city centre of Trondheim. It is in the north of this area and is located near the fjord. The gallery hosts a range of temporary exhibitions that showcase both local and significant international artists. Many of the works on display are for sale. The pieces are mainly pictorial and comprise paintings in oil and watercolour, as well as lithographs and posters.
