Mikkelgammen is located at the top of the large hill that overlooks Hammerfest, Salen, sometimes known as the "town mountain". It is a traditional Sami turf hut. the Sami are the indigenous people of Finnmark. It can be reached by the "zigzag path" from Hammerfest town centre. You can experience traditional Sami culture here in authentic surroundings with a real Sami family and enjoy a wonderful meal around the open fire.
