The Medieval Exhibition is found near the city centre of Trondheim. The modern displays were opened in 1997. The artefacts on display were discovered as a consequence of excavations conducted in the local area. The exhibition seeks to inform the visitor about life in the city during the first half of the last millenium. Visitors have the opportunity to gain many insights into the living conditions of Trondheim residents during the Middle Ages, and learn about the centrality of the Church to everyday existence.
