The Lysgårdsbakkene lies on the edge of the Olympic town of Lillehammer. It is one of the facilities used in the 1994 Winter Olympics. The ultra modern facility centres around a ninety metre high ski jumping hill. A chair lift from the landing area takes you to the summit, from where there are fantastic views. The ski jump hill is used all year round and is specially adapted for summer jumping. There is a ski jumping simulator here for those without the experience or courage to try the real thing.
