Lovøya is a little island that lies just to the east of its larger neighbour Sandøya. The unspoilt island is relatively sparsey populated, and supports a variety of interesting flora and fauna. It is a popular place for families to visit with their children. There is a nice bathing spot here. Summer is the season to visit, when ferries run here from Brevik, in Porsgrunn municipality.
