Loen Church is sited in the centre of the village of Loen, which is in Stryn municipality. There has been a church on this site since 1360. The original building was a medieval "stave church" built of timber. The present building was erected in 1837. It serves a congregation of the established Lutheran church. By the church is a one thousand year old Celtic cross. This is one of the oldest Christian monuments in Norway.
