The Literature House is located in the heart of Oslo, right by the park of the Royal Palace. It has six floors, all dedicated to literature in some sense. One floor is a meeting point for writers wishing to meet up. Another hosts an extremely well stocked bookshop. There is an apartment where visiting writers from abroad may stay. The building is run by a non profit making foundation. It hosts a number of debates, lectures and exhibitions throughout the year. It has a popular bar and cafe, which also serves light meals.
