Linderud Manor lies about 15 minutes from the centre of Oslo by metro. It is in the northeastern districts. The estate is one of the great landed properties of southern Norway. It was first established as a church property in the fourteenth century, but was confiscated by the crown in 1530. The present building dates from the early eighteenth century. Tours of the delightful interior of the stately home are available if booked in advance and at regular times during the high season.
