Lillehammer Church stands in the heart of the town. It is built in traditional style, with a high tower that rises to a spire. The church was consecrated in 1882. It seats 600. A major restoration took place in 1959, when the current altarpiece, made by Maja Refsum Nygård-Nilsen, was added. The cross and font were donated by the families of English servicemen killed here in 1990.
