The Royal Manor at Ledaal lies close to the centre of Stavanger. The building, and the attractive park that surrounds it, are established are owned by a national trust. The manor originally served as a residence for the mearchant Gabriel Scanche Kielland, and was built at the beginnning of the nineteenth century. Now a royal residence, it is open to the public as a museum when not in use by the royal family. Its richly furnished interior contains beautiful furniture in various styles.
