Ål Rural Museum lies just to the north of the village. It is a subsidiary of Hallingdal Museum. The museum was established in 1924. It is made up of around thirty original farm buildings that date back to the seventeenth century. The museum houses an interesting collection of original furniture, furnishings and artefacts that gives you an insight into day to day life in the past.
