There is a parking place next to Øksnevad school from which you can begin your exploration of the Øksnevadtjørna Nature Reserve and surrounding countryside. You will find a birdwatching tower here. There is a five kilometre path starting here that takes you through open and farmed land. Along the way there are information boards telling you about the natural and human history of the area.
