Kongsberg Church lies in the heart of the town. It is one of the largest and most beautiful Baroque churches in Norway. Completed in 1761, it seats around 2400 people. The church is furnished throughout in exquisite baroque and roccocco style. It has a fine Gloger organ from 1765 and three magnificent glass chandeliers from the Nøstetangen factory. Guided tours are available. The church hosts organ recitals and chamber music concerts of the highest standard.
