The Klompen hill lies within Namsos and provides a fine sightseeing point from which to get views of the area. A steep climb takes you to a summit 114 metres above sea level. From here you can see Namsen Fjord, the town centre, the mouth of the river Namsen and Spillum, on the other side of the fjord. If you are unable or unwilling to climb there is a road that takes you to the top. At the base of the hill you will find the Fredriksberg park, which contains bunkers from World War II.
