The island of Kinn is part of the municipality of Flora. It is green and picturesque and an important local tourist destination. It has a twelfth century medieval church of some note. It was once so important as a base for herring fishing that around fifteen thousand people lived here. Now just fifteen remain. It does, however, attract many thousands of visitors, especially for its annual traditional religious play, known as the Kinna Pageant.
