Kannesteinen, or the Kanne stone, is a naturally formed curiosity that attracts many visitors every year. It is a large stone supported by an extremely narrow "trunk", giving it the appearance of something like a giant mushroom. It has been formed over thousands of years by the action of loose rocks pounded against the stone by the sea. The stone is found by the village of Oppedal in the municipality of Vågsøy.
