The beautiful Jondal Church lies in the heart of the village. It nicknamed "Hardanger Cathedral" owing to its impressive size, and it is the largest church in the region. The church was built in 1888. It has an altarpiece by the renowned artist Nils Bergslien. The church bells were made in the thirteenth century. Guided tours are available. During the summer the church is a venue for organ recitals.
