The Ibsen Museum is housed in the former home of Scandinavia’s most famous playwright. The museum introduces the visitor to the private life of the great writer. His living quarters are recreated with original fixtures, effects and furnishings. You can tour his study, dining room and parlours, accompanied by guides. The three hundred square metre grand study where Ibsen wrote "John Gabriel Borkman", recently restored in exquisite detail, is the highlight of any visit. The museum contains a shop.
