Hol Rural Museum is a subsidiary of the Hallingdal Museum. It lies to the east of Geilo, near the old church and the banks of the Holsfjord. It is made up of seventeen old buildings and an exhibition centre. The buildings that make up the museum are between two and three hundred years old. The museum has interesting permanent exhibitions on the Norwegian national costume, traditional rose painting and agriculture. Groups may book special guided tours outside the ordinary opening hours.
