Herregården lies in the heart of the port city of Larvik. Its name translates approximately as "The Estate of the Count". The grand manor house dates fromk 1677 and was originally the residence of Ulrik Fredrik Gyldenløve, who was indeed the Count of Larvik. It is one of the first examples of a Baroque building in Norway. The architectural style has been adapted to construction in timber. The interior is famous for its elaborate Baroque furnishings.
