Helgefeltet lies to the east of Steinkjer, just by the little village of Byafossen. It contains some of the most important ancient monuments in Norway. There are several burial mounds and monumental stones placed here. Important finds from the Stone Age have been made in the burial mounds. There is a picnic area at the site. You will also find display boards giving you information about the site.
