Heidal Church lies just outside Blølstad, and a few miles to the east of Otta. This area has the highest concentration of listed buildings of any in Norway. The church is beautiful, featuring a high spire, and is built in traditional style. It was built as a replica of the old church which it replaced, and was completed in the 1930s. The original church, from 1752, was destroyed by fire in 1933.
