Permanent exhibitions contain artefacts discovered on the site and nearby from the Iron Age, medieval period, and post-Reformation era. A medieval market place is reconstructed during the summer months. around fifty buildings from different eras form part of the lakeside park outside. The museum also has an extensive herb garden.
