The Hardangerjøkulen Glacier is the fifth largest in Norway. It lies to the east of Eidfjord. At its highest point the glacier is more than eighteen hundred metres above sea level. Some of the best views of the glacier are to be had along the main route 7 highway, and also from Sysendammen. The best access point if you want to explore it is at Finse.
