Hardanger Art Gallery lies in the municiaplity of Jondal. It is located near to the fjordside just to the north of the village of Herand. The artist Arne Bakke Mælen has built a modern gallery and studio at Mælen farm. It is built in traditional style. The gallery hosts exhibitions of modern design. It is also used as a venue for conferences, courses and seminars.
