Grimstad’s Fortunes is a work of art found at the town hall of Grimstad, which is near the centre of the coastal town. It is the largest wall mosaic in Norway. It was created by the artist Marit Bockelie. The mosaic is found in the council chamber and is built around the coat of arms. It is made up of 160,000 pieces of natural stone. More than two and a half tonnes of mortar hold the dramatic sculpture together.
