Grimstad Church lies in the heart of the historic south Norwegian town. The building is typical of many Norwegian churches in being built of wood. It was consecrated in 1881 and has a huge capacity of well over one thousand. It is thus the second largest wooden church in Norway. There are lovely views from the churchyard. Guided tours of the church are available for groups.
