Granvin Church lies to the north of the village of the same name. It is sited on a sharp hairpin bend on the road. There are spectacular views over the neighbouring fjord. The present timber church was constructed in 1726, although some of the inventory is much older. The beehive shaped bell dates from about 1100 and is one of the oldest in the Nordic world. The font and crucifix are medieval. The interior is decorated with the traditional rose painting.
