Geilo is one of the premier ski resorts in Norway. You will find no less than thirty nine different runs here, catering for skiers of all abilities. There is everything from "black runs" to special children’s slopes. There are three snow parks which provide excellent opportunities for snowboarders. There are many kilometres of marked cross country ski trails in the area. There is a lively apres ski scene in the village, and a wide variety of accommodation. Geilo is also a major centre for kite skiing.
