Geilo Church is located in the centre of the popular resort town. It is one of three churches in the municipality of Hol that are more than one hundred years old. It is built of timber in traditional style and seats around one hundred and ninety. Consecrated in 1890, it was designed by the architect J.W. Nordan. It was substantially restored and extended in the late nineteen fifties. It is used as a venue for organ and piano recitals.
