Gaupne Old Church is found in a fjordside village on the banks of the Lusterfjord, in Luster municipality. It is beautiful example of an early Lutheran style of church construction. It is built of timber and has a tower. It contains a catechism style altarpiece from 1589, and has beautiful interior painting on natural themes for ornamentation. The carved pews and pulpit are also well worth seeing.
