Galleri Bodøgaard is located about a mile outside Bodø city centre, to the south. It houses the largest private collection of art and ethnographic artefacts in Norway. the ethnographic collection comprises tools and utensils from the region, organised into exhibitions on fishing, hunting, trapping, handicrafts and agriculture. There is also an exhibition on the Prisoner of War Camp sited here during World War II. Bodogård holds a magnificent collection of religious icons and hundreds of art works from the Arctic region. It holds temporary exhibitions. The venue is used for concerts and events.
