The Funicular Railway is one of the most popular attractions in Bergen, whose natural beauty and historic buildings attract many visitors. The railway departs from the centre of the city, not far from the historic harbourside, and takes you on a spectacular journey to the top of Mount Fløyen, 320 metres above sea level. There are wonderful views of the fjords and the city from the summit. There are excellent opportunities for walking and cross country skiing at the peak. You will find a restaurant, shops and playground up the mountain.
