The Fram Museum centres around the famous polar ship Fram. The wooden ship was built in 1892 and is preserved in her entirety, complete with original fixtures and fittings. You can learn about the exciting and dangerous voyages the ship undertook. The museum also explores the history of various Norwegian polar adventures, including probably the most famous, the conquest of the South Pole by Roald Amundsen. There are stuffed animals on display from the polar regions including polar bears and penguins. The Fram Museum has a shop.
