Flåm Church is situated about three kilometres south of the railway station in the river valley. The church is built of timber and dates from 1667. It contains an altarpiece from the late seventeenth century. The interior decoration is well worth seeing. The choir is dedicated with grapevine patterns and the nave with illustrations of trees and animals. The church is open to visitors during the high summer season.
