The Flekkefjord Electricity Museum is administered by Flekkefjord Museum. Flekkefjord was one of the first towns in Norway to get electric street lighting. This event occured in 1901 and is recreated in the museum’s darkroom. The permanent exhibitions include electrical apparatus, electricity meters and lamps, photographs and detailed historical information. Another exhibition shows the impact of electricity on a typical 1930s home. You can also try generating electricity yourself with an exercise bicycle.
