The Fisheries Museum is located on the small island of Hjertøya, a pleasant recreational area a short boat ride from Molde harbour. It takes the form of a small fishing village. You can see old houses, fishermen’s shacks, a cod-liver oil factory, an engineering workshop and a schoolroom. The museum is an attempt to recreate the life of a fishing community around 1850. You can also view a large collection of boats and maritime equipment.
