The Lengthsman’s Cottage at Fagernut is a museum. It was once the highest railway cottage and workers’ dwelling in Norway, at 1310 metres above sea level. It lies about ten kilometres from Finse. An exhibition here informs the visitor about the lifestyle of railway workers in the early days of the Bergen railway. There is a cafeteria here. Tourist information about the area is available.
