Fagernes Folk Museum is one of the largest open air museums in Norway. It is made up of more than ninety seperate buildings, reconstructions of typical dwellings from a number of locations and periods. It covers more than ten thousand square metres. There are more than ten thousand artefacts on display here. Demonstrations of traditional crafts are given. You can buy a wide range of craft products here. Various special events are held here, including performances of folk dancing and song.
