The Eysteinskyrkja lies where the near both the old pilgrim road and the King’s road as they cross the great mountain of Dovrefjell. It lies just outside the village of Hjerkkin. The church is built on the foundations of a much older church. The current building is a striking and innovative, yet attractive construction that dates from 1969. During the summer season guided tours of the church are available.
