The Eidsvoll 1814 Constitution Centre lies about an hour by car to the north of Oslo. It is housed in the famous building where the 1814 constitution was drawn up. The visitor centre contains an exciting interactive exhibition about the Constitution and the development of democracy in Norway. Guided tours are avialable. There is a shop selling a wide range of souvenirs. There is also a cafeteria here.
