Eid Church is located in Nordfjordeid, in the beautiful fjord region of west-central Norway. The church lies near the centre of town and was built in 1849. It benefited from an extensive restoration when in 1915, when artist Lars Kinsarvik adorned the interior with wood carvings and traditional rose painting. The altarpiece, by Cecilie Dahl, is a copy of Bloch’s painting "Christ the Comforter". The church serves a parish of the national (Lutheran) church and welcomes visitors outside service times.
