The Edvard Grieg Museum at Troldhaugen lies in idyllic countryside on the coast a few kilometres to the south of Bergen. It is dedicated to the life and work of Norway’s most celebrated and popular composer. It is housed in the former home of Grieg, which is exceptionally well preserved and maintained. You can visit his home, the little hut where he composed, and see his grave. There is also a concert hall here which seats two hundred and mounts an extensive programme of concerts. The museum has a shop.
