Dreggeguten is a sculpture that lies near the site of Bergen castle and the harbour. It is located in a green area off Dreggsalmenningen. The work is 1.25 metres high and is a naturalistic work cast in bronze. It depicts a kneeling archer, a member of the archery brigade. The sculpture is a monument to all the fallen of the Second World War during the brief struggle to retain Norwegian independence from Nazi rule. It is the work of Sofus Madsen and was unveiled in 1956.
