Drammensmarka is the name given to the wilderness area that lies to the north of the riverside city of Drammen. It offers a variety of impressive pine heaths, small lakes, look-out points and spruce-covered hillsides. Many of the lakes, such as Hvalsdammen, Landfalltjern, Myrdammen and Goliaten are suitable for swimming during the summer. Vakkertjernsheia and Skimtheia are good destinations for cross country skiers and have Tverråsutsikten, Skimtvarden and Storsteinsfjell are some of the best viewpoints.
