The Danish Girl is a statue located in the heart of Bergen. It lies just opposite the Bergen Kunstmuseum (Bergen Art Museum). The statue is the work of renowned sculptor Gerhard Henning. It was unveiled in 1955. The piece is slightly larger than life size at just over two metres high. The work is essentially naturalistic and is cast in bronze. It stands by the charming lake that is the centrepiece of the town park of Bergen.
