Briedeblikk is a fine old manor house that lies in the centre of the historic city of Stavanger. The manor was built in 1881 by the architect Henrik Nissen and was the residence of shipowner Lars Berentsen. The interior of the building is unusually well preserved. It contains fine furniture in a variety of styles and gives a vivid insight into the life of the priveleged classes in Norway in the 1890s. The park is laid out in English country house style. Outlying barns contain an exhibition of agricultural machinery and horse-drawn vehicles. The house is owned and by Stavanger Museum.
