The Breimsbygda Ski Centre lies in the municipality of Gloppen, a short drive to the north of the village of Byrkjelo. It is a popular attraction during the winter months. Lying more than six hundred metres above sea level, the centre features prepared slopes, a new ski lift and floodlighting making night skiing possible. There is a ski jump and more than three kilometres of prepared cross country trails. There are special lifts for children and facilities for the disabled. Ski equipment is available for hire. There is a cafeteria here.
