Beautifully located to the north of the city centre, Arendal Bomuldsfabriken is a former textile factory that has been converted into the largest art gallery in southern Norway. Its permanent collection contains important works by forty Norwegian artists. It hosts six temporary exhibitions annually. There is a special activity area for children. Guided tours are conducted. There is a cafeteria here.
