Bjørkedalsvatnet (or Bjørkedal Water) is a lake that lies in the municipality of Volda, in Sunnmøre region south of Ålesund. The settlement here has long been a centre for boatbuilding. Visitors are able to take a trip on one of the traditionally constructed wooden boats here that lasts around two hours. On the trip you can learn more about the Nordlandsbåt on which you sail, and which is inspired by Viking ships, and about the wonderful natural surroundings and human history of the locality.
